When you think of perilla leaves in Japan, you think of the leaves that come out with lettuce in Korean yakiniku. However, I was surprised at the large repertoire of “perilla leaf dishes” used in Korean home cooking! The volume was too big to fit on the table. Perilla kimchi, tempura, pickles, rice cakes, etc. Moreover, it is not only delicious, but also contains abundant vitamins that are useful for beautiful skin, so it is also useful for preventing swelling and anemia! The packaging is very cute, and I was allowed to tour the factory, but the machines that automatically sort persimmons are becoming more high-tech, and care for “aging farmers” is also being considered, which is amazing.
