The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries is implementing a new national movement, “Thinking about Japan from Food. Japan Food Shift,” focusing on deepening the connection between food and agriculture.
This time, events that will give you an opportunity to think about the issues facing Japanese food and the future you are aiming for, centered on Generation Z, who will lead the next generation, “Thinking about Japan from food. NIPPON FOOD SHIFT FES. Hokkaido” and “From food to Japan” NIPPON FOOD SHIFT FES. Fukuoka ”will be held.

2. Main event contents

On Sunday, February 20th, Generation Z will hold a[Talk Session]on YouTube live distribution to think about the future of “food” and “agriculture” through “ramen”.
Local university students from Hokkaido and Fukuoka prefecture will play a central role in visiting the production sites and manufacturing factories of the wheat used in local ramen noodles and the vegetables used as ingredients. Faced with a certain agriculture, we will present what we have learned and what we have noticed from the perspective unique to the Z generation.
This talk session will be held simultaneously at two venues, “NIPPON FOOD SHIFT FES. Hokkaido” (Ebetsu City, Hokkaido) and “NIPPON FOOD SHIFT FES. Fukuoka” (Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture), inviting guest MCs from each. To do. Both venues will be connected online and presentations will be made alternately so that each other’s presentations will lead to new learning and awareness.
In addition, based on the results of the “Food and Agriculture Awareness Survey Questionnaire” conducted for students in Hokkaido, Fukuoka Prefecture, and Tokyo, we will discuss the issues facing agriculture and rural areas and the future of Japanese agriculture. , 3 Z generations will freely carry out cross talk.
At both venues, we will hold a[Marche]where you can enjoy shopping while communicating directly with local producers who are practicing various efforts for the future of food.
Furthermore, in Hokkaido, from February 15th (Tuesday) to 21st (Monday), a project “Tsutaya Bookstore also Nippon Food Shift” that connects dining table and agriculture with “books” is being held at the same time. We will develop[exhibitions / experiences]of how to enjoy “food” and “agriculture” that the staff of the bookstore proposes from various perspectives.

A member of the theater unit “TEAM NACS”. Formed in 1996 with Oizumi, Yasuda, Toji, and Otoo from the Hokkai Gakuen University Theater Study Group, and serves as a leader. He is also familiar with local food, including many videos of eating delicious Fukuoka food on his YouTube channel.
