Burberry has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2022 campaign. The power of the community is expressed by the models demonstrating their individuality and gathering together. Under the bright sun of Los Angeles, bold images and movies focus on the collection’s theme of belonging, creating a sense of togetherness through the power of self-expression.

The campaign explores different identities based on the brand’s house code, Duality. The womenswear collection shot in an elevated studio setting and the menswear collection shot outdoors in unvarnished detail reveal Burberry’s bold combinations of different codes and a fresh take on the future.

Burberry Chief Creative Officer Ricardo Tisci has revisited photographic duo Inez and Vinoodh, who are also friends of the brand, to pursue a more avant-garde approach to the brand, while stylist Lotta Volkova (Lotta Volkova) brings definition and a new perspective to the attitude expressed throughout the collection.

A playful take on heritage reimagining, the classic women’s trench is reimagined in a voluminous strapless gown with signature details intact, while a car coat is accented with chain-link elements. Womenswear includes his waxed cotton coats and field jackets, as well as vintage-inspired candy pink and red floral lace corset tops with matching pleated skirts and black leather bodysuits and skirts. The Lola bag also appears in the campaign, celebrating the heritage of the brand and its founder, Thomas Burberry.

For menswear, dark amber hooded duffle coats are reimagined with statement leather straps and trims, while tailored high-waisted trousers are layered over polo shirts. A cotton poplin shirt was paired with a floor length diamond quilted skirt. A contemporary reinterpretation of the Equestrian Knight motif, a symbol of community spirit revived from the Burberry archives and emphasized throughout the collection, the campaign brings together Black non-profit organizations based in Los Angeles, USA.
