2022 J.League Asia Challenge in Thailand will be held – Sports Navi

The J.League has decided to hold the 2022 J.League Asia Challenge in Thailand, so we will inform you as follows. As part of the J.League Asia strategy, we have held the tournament in partner countries of the J.League for three years since the 2017 season. The 2022 season, which will be the fourth time in three years, will be held in Thailand, where a tie-up between leagues was signed in 2012 and many football exchange projects have been implemented, including the Asia Challenge in 2017 and 2019. From the J.League, Thai players will belong and play active roles in the 2022 season, and Kawasaki Frontale and Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo, which are very popular in Thailand, will participate.

2021/22 season 1st place in Thai domestic league 1st division. Established in 1970 in Buriram Province in the northeastern part of Thailand. Since winning the league title for the first time in 2008, they have won eight league titles.
Since 2011, the club has won numerous titles, including the Thai FA Cup five times and the Thai League Cup six times.
Spachoke, who transferred to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo this season, has been active in the same club until then, and Teraton, who was active in Yokohama F. Marinos until last season, is also enrolled.

BG Pathum United
2021/22 season 2nd place in Thai domestic league 1st division. Established in 2006 as Bangkok Glass FC. In 2009, just three years after its inauguration, the team won the Thai Super Cup, its first title.
From the 2019 season, the name was changed to the current BG Pathum United and won the league for the first time in the following 2020/21 season.
The club has signed a partnership agreement with Cerezo Osaka since 2012, and exchanges between the two clubs are actively taking place. This season, Chau Watt transferred to Cerezo Osaka on loan.
